To protect your privacy, we must verify your identity before fulfilling requests. We may ask you to confirm certain information we have on file. If you are requesting specific pieces of information, we may require a signed declaration under penalty of perjury.
Q: What if I opt out of the sale/sharing of my data โ will it affect my service?
No. We will not deny you service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your right to opt out. You will still be able to receive insurance quotes.
Q: Does opting out of sale/sharing stop all marketing?
Opting out prevents us from selling or sharing your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may still contact you directly about insurance quotes and services. To stop marketing communications, you can separately opt out of marketing emails, calls, and texts.
Q: Are there exceptions to the right to delete?
Yes. We may retain your information where necessary to: complete a transaction, fulfill a legal obligation, detect security incidents, comply with state insurance regulations, conduct research in the public interest, or exercise our legal rights.
Q: What about data I shared before submitting this request?
